    The product series of shape memory alloys are the main products of Grikin Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. Excellent Performances of NiTi SMA
1ˇ˘Shape Memory Effect 
NiTi SMA is a kind of alloy which can "remember" its own shape. After deformation at a lower temperature, it has the ability to recover its original shape automatically when it is heated up to a critical temperature. Composed of Ti-50. 5ˇ«51.0 at % Ni , medical NiTi SMA is in its softer martensitic form at 0 ˇćˇ«10 ˇć and can be easily deformed to a new shape. When heated up to body-temperature, it returns to the predetermined shape. 
2ˇ˘Biomechanical Properties
With great recovery-force inside human body, NiTi SMA functions as orthopedic and supporting devices which maintain lifelong super-elasticity. Its supporting stress is moderate and will not be further increased following the increase of the deformation.
3ˇ˘Corrosion resistance
Many kinds of corrosion tests have been conducted by our research scientists as well as scholars all around the world, including immersing NiTi alloys in simulated human juice, artificial gastric juice, fresh human urine etc. and embedding the sheets of the alloy inside animal's body. The results indicate that NiTi SMA has excellent corrosion resistance. 
4ˇ˘Biocompatibility 
A series of biological evaluation tests, including cytotoxicity, sensitization, genotoxicity (carcinogenicity, teratogenicity, mutagenicity), acute toxicity, haemolysis, thrombogenicity and implant tests, show that NiTi alloy is in conformity with the standards of medical materials.
